ALSA ATC @alsaatc organised a visit to the offices of Messrs. Shearn Delamore & Co. Established in 1905 it is one of the oldest and largest law firms in Malaysia. About 45 students and 5 lecturers participated in this visit.
Our students were given talks by various partners and associates of the firm, many of whom are proud alumni of ATC. Our students were given an insight into the various areas of practice at the firm, what’s it’s like being a lawyer and what to expect when they go into practice.
ATC and Shearn Delamore & Co have a longstanding relationship going back at least 20 years where ATC’s top graduates are given interviews at the firm and many of them are then awarded scholarships, pupillage positions and employment thereupon.
The partners of the firm then invited our students and lecturers to a networking session after where our students had the opportunity to mingle with the lawyers at the firm in a more informal setting.
