15 August 2026 | Advance Tertiary College hosted the 9th edition of the ATC Legal Careers Fair 2026, the largest we have ever run.
This year’s Fair was officiated by retired Federal Court judge Datuk Vernon Ong Lam Kiat, who delivered the keynote address to a packed auditorium at our KL Campus. His address followed a warm welcome speech from ATC’s Managing Director, Mr Kevin Leong.
Setting a new benchmark, 26 law firms and organisations set up booths this year. Around 240 students and graduates filled the hall. Many were our own high achievers, joined by ambitious students from public and private institutions across Malaysia.

Empowering students: the Legal Careers Week
The excitement started well before the main event. The run-up featured our inaugural Legal Careers Week, a series of talks and workshops engineered to build students’ confidence before meeting top employers.
12 August 2026 | Networking Essentials. A masterclass by Ms Irene Kam, Partner at Messrs Azri Lee Swee Seng & Co and Senior Lecturer at ATC.
13 August 2026 | Designing Your Legal Career. Practical recruitment insights from Ms Vivian Lai, Senior Recruitment Consultant.
14 August 2026 | Exclusive Fireside Chat. An interactive session with Mr Anand Raj, President of the Malaysian Bar and Partner at Messrs Shearn Delamore & Co, moderated by Mr Daniel Abishegam, Academic Director at ATC.
These sessions equipped participants with the poise and practical insight needed to engage senior partners directly on the day of the Fair.
Legal Careers Fair 2026 highlights
Following his keynote, Datuk Vernon Ong visited every single firm and organisation at the Fair. He generously spent hours connecting with our students and graduates, taking photographs and answering questions about the legal profession.
The Fair proved an invaluable success, with a number of participants securing internships and career opportunities on the spot.
Our commitment to industry readiness
At ATC, our commitment goes beyond academic excellence. Events like this are deliberately designed to arm our law graduates with practical skills, confidence and direct industry exposure, so they stand out in a competitive job market and step into the legal world industry-ready.
Students on our Foundation in Law, University of London LLB, UK Degree Transfer Programme and CLP courses all take part, whichever stage they have reached.
The 10th anniversary arrives in 2027
Next year marks a milestone: the 10th edition of the ATC Legal Careers Fair. Organising chairperson Ms Kashmirjit Kaur Harbans promises the 2027 Fair will be our most spectacular yet. Watch this space for official announcements.
